Removal of a failing red maple tree on a Bloomington city street. ISA Certified Arborists use a knuckle boom crane and a log truck, both with grapple saw attachments, to safely remove the tree. The tree was in rapid decline and had been dropping dead branches onto the sidewalk below. After removing the tree, crew members thoroughly clean up the work site. The stump is scheduled to be ground at a future date.

This commercial tree removal job required safely dismantling all trees growing above a culvert/bridge wall on either side of a county road. Along with approx. 20 trees, existing tree material was lifted from under the bridge for removal. We worked with the County for road closure notifications and signage. All material was safely removed from the site and recycled locally into mulch. The entire project took just half a day to complete.

It felt good to give back to our first responders and remove this dead ash tree at Bloomington Fire Station 4. Easy access for our knuckle boom crane and the experience of Crew 3 made for a quick, safe removal on a busy street.

Removing a tree that is close to buildings can be a challenging and risky task. It requires careful planning and execution to avoid damaging the structures or injuring anyone. And with brick sidewalks below, rigging to control the fall of branches is critical to avoid any damage.
