Removal of a Large Siver Maple Tree in a Small Back Yard

This very large silver maple was dropping sizable branches onto and damaging the homeowners’ roof.

The tree was in rapid decline, so the decision was made to have it removed. The size and location made for a very technical removal. The tree was in a small backyard area with utility lines running along the containing fence. Tight conditions. Very little margin for error.

The crane, positioned in the driveway, reached over the house to safely lay down large trunk sections sawed off by another arborist in a track lift.

Grapple trucks loaded all material for recycling into mulch, the site was thoroughly cleaned up, and the crew moved on to another job.
